Nathan's First Birthday Cont...

The other night got too late but wanted to finish up Nathan's first birthday post:

At 12 months Nathan loves.....

...his sleep sack.  It is so sweet and it is like his security blanket.  I put it on him at night and for naps and when it is on he knows it is time for bed.  We got it big when he was about 5 or 6 months and it is now getting on the small side.  I told Ryan I will need to make it into a blanket when he can't fit in it anymore....he won't know what to do the first time he has to try sleeping without it.

.....these books:

The bottom 2 baby faces ones being his absolute favorite

....clearing the bookcase of most all the books in the boys room.  :)

......cars, trucks, or anything with wheels.  He loves to roll them back and forth along the ground and make them go.  He likes to try and look at the wheels and figure out how they work.

.......his Cheecha Puffs.  Whaaa???  I'm sure you are saying.  They are his little potato snack.  With having to take food so slow he finally has a little snack food that he LOVES!  The are just potato flour, potato starch, and salt.  They get softer in his mouth like a puff and great for him to pick up.  The are bigger so I just break them up for him.  These are great while I am getting other food ready for him.  So far no other reactions to food and his allergy test came back negative for all IgE allergies. Yea!  So now we will still have to take food trials slow for FPIES reactions but at least he is clear for anaphylactic reactions.  His current foods include pears, bananas, quinoa, broccoli, blueberries, white potato, pork, and for the first time today tried cheese.  Crazy but we are going for it.  The Dr wanted us to try cheese, then yogurt, and then hopefully transition to milk and then I can start to wean him.  Praying that he is all past the FPIES and we can pass everything!

with his Cheecha Puffs

......to be in to everything.  Loves to be free to walk around and take out all his toys and move on to the next.  He leaves a tornado in his path!

....the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse opening song.  He really doesn't watch TV or pay attention to it but if Nolan is watching it and that opening song of Mickey Mouse comes on he is mesmorized!  He will sometimes do a little dance with it that just kids of bounces up and down and then will swing one arm back and forth.  Once the song is over he will usually go back to playing.  This video shows his little arm swinging back and forth.

.....to dance when he hears music.

.....loves to be held and have lots of attention!  He does not like when I am making dinner or trying to clean up.  :)  Good thing I have a Kaylee to help when Ryan is not home!

At 12 months I love......

.....that he will still fall asleep nursing most nights and I get to carry a sleeping baby to his crib.  Sometimes I will just hold him and look at his sweet face for awhile.  I just have to soak it in!

.....that he loves his Dada, but I really love that when he gets hurt, or he is scared he wants his Mama. Love it!

.....to hear his laugh and the pitter patter of little feet walking through the house.

.....that when I take out his water cup to be filled he says wawa wawa wawa.

......how he loves his brother and sisters and when they play with and include him.  They really all do love Nathan!  When the older kids are being loud or screaming he does this cute loud little scream to try and keep up with them.

.....his sweet little smile and the cute little faces he makes.

......that God blessed me to be your Mama!  Happy 1st Birthday Nathan!  I love you so much and can't believe you are 1!!

Here are some recent almost 1year photos:

Here are Nathan's 12 month stats:

Height: 30 in- 54%
Weight: 20lbs 1.5 oz- 29%
Head: 45 cm- 19%

Still is not talking a ton but his current words are wawa (for water), dada, mama, nana, and I have heard a hi once or twice.

****Also wanted to add that Nathan has been doing a version of Shaky, Shaky Baby as we used to call it with Alexa.  That is where he puts his arms together and moves it back and forth really fast.  I think Alexa was faster but so cute how he does that too.  Fun to see what shows up with different kids.  Nathan also walked early at just about the same time as Alexa did.  Ryan and I will work on getting it on video.
