Happy Birthday Alexa!

Right after Alexa was born Kaylee decided that we needed to have a cake to celebrate Alexa's Birthday. Being the dessert lovers that we are Ryan and I did not object. Here is Kaylee with Alexa's cake. She also insisted that we put candles on the cake and sing her Happy Birthday. Of course Alexa had no clue but Kaylee sure enjoyed it!

Mommy's helper!

A few days after we got home from the hospital I asked Ryan to sweep the floor for me because for obvious reasons I had not been able to do it. Well, the next thing I know he had taken the middle part out of the swiffer sweeper to give it to Kaylee to do. Guys! It turns out she loved it and now wants to help me sweep all the time. I usually sweep first and then give it to her otherwise she just pushes everything around. The pictures turned out so cute! I love her little pose.

Sister Time!!

Kaylee is still not too sure about being a big sister and having to share the attention but we were able to capture some cute moments of them together on the floor.

Happy Easter!

My Mom and sister came over to celebrate Easter with us. It was a pretty low key day with just having Alexa and of course still being pretty sore. We had a nice family dinner and an Easter Egg hunt with Kaylee.

Here are some pictures that my friend Mindy Cull took in the hospital. Mindy always does such a great job and I am so thankful she was able to come take these pictures.

She ended up coming on her own and I did not have to be induced. Yea!! The labor went soooo much better this time around. Thanks to everyones prayers. Moving Along!

I went to the doctor today and I was going to have one of those balloon catheters (not sure if that is the correct name) put in to help me dilate. This was to get me all ready to be induced tomorrow. I had other good news. I was already dilated to a 3 and 75% effaced so she said no reason to put it in. She also said my water feels like it is about to break. I have been having contractions all morning and very crampy. The doctor also stripped my membranes so I should just be moving right along and hopefully not even need the pitocin tomorrow. Sorry if this is way too much info but I am just excited that things are finally moving along!

Update

I had my doctor appointment yesterday and our little baby girl is in no hurry to come out. I am still stuck at a 1, and she is still sitting high up in my pelvis. I could not believe it when she told me that.....it makes my wonder what all the contractions I have been having are for??!! Dr Dado does not want me to go past 41 weeks so it looks like I am faced with being induced again this Thursday if she does not decide to come before then. Don't get me wrong, I am so excited that the end is in sight and to meet our baby girl, but the inducing with Kaylee did not go so well so it makes me really nervous. I just need prayers that she decides to come before Thursday!

Still Waiting.......

Well, I have made it to the 40 week point and still no baby yet. I am hoping she will be coming very soon! I have had a horrible cold the past week and for the first morning I finally don't feel as bad. Still stuffy and coughing, but not as bad. I was dreading going in to labor feeling like that but at least things are starting to look up! I was up having contractions since 5 this morning but as usual they have lightened up. Only a few of them were really bad. Now I am just feeling really crampy. I go tomorrow to the doctor again and hopefully I have made some more progress. I will keep everyone posted.....but I am hoping the next post is to say the baby is here!!
