Soccer

Kaylee started soccer last month. She is taking it with two other friends from school and they are having so much fun! This class is perfect for her age. They don't have formal games, just a 45 min practice once a week. They learn how to kick the ball and they do little drills.

Here she is in action!

A morning outside

With the weather being so nice the girls have been spending a lot of time outside. Kaylee is really into watering all the plants and flowers in our yard. It is really cute. Most mornings after breakfast Kaylee will go right outside while I clean up. Poor Alexa just wines at the door until I am done and can take her out. It's so hard being the baby. :)

Here are some pictures of them just having fun outside

I love those chunkers!!

Our friends came over on Saturday morning and Kaylee and Maggie were both wearing the same dress. They were just too cute to not take their picture.

12 month appointment

Alexa had her 12 month doctor appointment on Monday. Here are her stats:

Height: 29 1/2 - 60th %
Weight: 21.2 lbs- 60th %
Head: 45 1/2 - 70th %

Everything looked good! I am just trying to get her to like her milk. :)

12 Months Old!

Here are her 12 month pictures! I can't believe this is the last month of taking them with the sign. My picture board is now complete!

All ready for breakfast on the big morning. We had Birthday waffles!

Kaylee was so nice to lend Alexa her Birthday princess hat
At 12 months here is what Alexa is up to:
She is walking better all the time and getting more and more stable.
She loves to carry a purse around and pull out everything in it!
Loves real keys and has to hold mine when going to the car and coming back in the house.
Moves from one toy to the next like it is going out of style. Our house looks like a tornado went through it every night!
Loves to crawl in the dishwasher. It gets very difficult to load up the dirty dishes with a baby crawling in.
Loves to go to Costco and get samples just like the rest of us! :)
Loves to play outside and loves the bubble machine.
Loves to crawl up the stairs, of course with us behind her. She will practically jump out of my arms if I start to carry her up and not put her down. The first thing she does when she gets upstairs is either go right into the bathroom to see what she can get in to, or into her room and pull out all the wipes in her dresser cabinet. Such fun!
So far she does not like whole milk. Wants nothing to do with it in the bottle or the sippy. If I mix it with her formula in her bottle she will drink some of it. I hope she will soon get used to the taste because I so want to stop using formula.
Still loves her big sister and any attention from her. It is so cute to watch them laugh together.
Loves to dance when music comes on or just when the mood hits her right. It is so cute, whether she is sitting down or standing up she will put her hands together and kind of move her shoulders back and forth. I really need to try and get that one on video before she stops doing it. She could just be eating in her high chair and bust out with the dance moves. So adorable!
Thanks again Alexa for all the joy you have brought us in the last year. We love you!!!

Yea for friends!!!

I was just blogging in the post below about how sad I was I did not have a picture of me and Lex on her 1st Birthday. Mindy just sent me her pictures and she had one of us. Thanks Mindy!! How sad is that that I don't even remember posing for the picture. I really think these kids drain your brain. :)

Checking out the tunnel. She actually crawled in it a few times.

This picture I knew Mindy had, and so glad she got. This is totally the "Lex Walk". She isn't doing it all the time now that she is getting more stable on her feet, but for most her eleventh month this is how she walked. So cute!

The Party! ~ Alexa Turns 1!

On Friday night we had a small party with a few family and friends to celebrate the big First Birthday! It was nice to do something really low key. Alexa seemed to really enjoy herself just playing in the yard and I enjoyed the no stress!

Here she is sporting her 1st Birthday gear!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Dear Alexa,

This past year has been so amazing with you. I feel so blessed that God has brought you into our lives and that I get to be your Mom. You are such a sweet and happy baby and such a joy to have around. I have just enjoyed being able to love, hug, and watch you grow. It is so fun to watch you experience everything new and take it all in. I feel that with you being my second I can enjoy that so much more because I am more relaxed having been through it all before. After all the fun of today and after I put you to bed, I just watched you sleep for a little while. It brought tears to my eyes that you are now 1 and the time has just flown by. It seems like we just brought you home and you should still be my tiny little baby in the pictures below. Even as you grow, you will still always be my sweet baby girl. I love you so much!!

Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter day! We started off with the girls checking out their Easter baskets. Then we had a nice french toast breakfast, made by Ryan. Then we went to church, came home and had an egg hunt, and enjoyed a nice afternoon and dinner with my Mom and sister. The girls looked so cute in their dresses! We hope everyone also had a wonderful Easter.

Alexa joining the fun.

Ooops Lex, your loosing your ears!

Lex just wanted to throw her basket!

She's thinking about it....

Going for the grab....

yum candy!

So how crazy is this. This was Alexa's 2nd Easter but she is still under a year. Pretty cool! I can't believe how last year on Easter she was 3 days old and the tiniest little thing all swaddled up. Now she is walking all over the place. My how they change in a year!
