Prescott Parade 2017!!

Every year we love heading to Prescott for the 4th of July Parade.  It does not always fall on the 4th of July, just on a close Friday or Saturday.  If we go on Friday it is the Kids parade, and if we go on Saturday is the the big regular parade.  We decided on the Kids parade this year and for fun we decided to walk in it.  This was perfect for the kids as it is a short walk and then it ends with ice cream sandwiches for all.  I just love the scenery of the small town, court house, and my favorite Victorian houses so I never mind what day we go!

Making our yearly 4th of July Rice Krispies Treats for the parade!

Enjoying their after parade treat!

Cousin love!!

I think I post house pictures from this street every year.  I could seriously live here!!

Cute School Project With Nolan!

One of our little preschool projects last June was drawing Nolan how he looked that day.  I remember doing something similar to this when I was in Kindergarten.  I had him lay down and I traced him as best as I could.  I think we did a pretty good job!

Love all the faces!

Father's Day

So sadly Ryan was on a wildfire for Father's Day this year but the kids still wanted to give him a shout out!

We joined in with the Dahl's for a Father's Day picture!

So fun to look back on this stuff!

Nathan's 2nd Birthday!!

I feel so bad that Nathan turned 2 back on June 11th and I am just now getting to this post.  I have always tried to be more "on time" with the birthday posts especially when they are little because they change so quickly during these early years.  Nathan will be 2 1/2 next month so I know he is closer to that age now but I will do my best to remember where he was at then and also kind of tie it in to where he is at now and what has happened during the last 5 months of turning 2.
So Nathan is just the sweetest little guy and I feel so blessed to have him as my second son.  He is so loved by all his siblings, and of course mom and dad, and we all still think of him as the "baby".  He probably gets away with way more being the baby and Nathan knows that we all think he is pretty special and cute!  :)
Nathan has been my slowest talker.  At 2 he was still not saying much.  He has slowly started saying more since turning 2.  I feel at this point he is saying more but I have trouble understanding him more than my other kids.
Nathan LOVES anything with wheels!  Trucks, cars, fire trucks, school buses etc.  He is definitely in to the boy stuff!
He loved Mickey Mouse right at turning 2.  He even had Mickey Mouse themed decorations for his family party.  He still really likes Mickey but not as much as he was in to him then.  He really likes Dusty from Planes right now!  I love how every plane we see in the sky is "Dusty"!
Nathan got a glider bike from our neighbors over the summer and he has taken to it so well.  We still have our glider bike that both Alexa and Nolan used but usually the kids can't fit on that one until age 3.  This one is even smaller as the seat can go lower.  He is already starting to glide on it more, instead of just walking with it, after only a few months.
Nathan has always been a very picky eater.  I think that goes back to the fact that I had to limit his diet so much in the beginning.  I still have not tried sweet potatoes with him.  In the last few months he has gotten a little better with eating some more foods but still very picky with veggies and certain things.  Sometimes he surprises me though and will eat something that I will never expect.  So I just keep trying!
Nathan loves having books read to him and everyday after nap time I have a little reading time with just him while he is waking up.  They are usually books about trains, trucks, or planes.  :)  I also read to both boys together before bed.
Nathan is still in his crib.  So far he has not even tried to climb out!  I think Nolan had to be moved out of his crib to a toddler bed at age 2 and 3 months, and Alexa was also climbing out at this point.  We might actually make it in the crib until age 3!!
So far Nathan has no interest in potty training.  He will sometimes sit on the potty right before bath but other than that no other progress.  Potty training has never been easy with the Gregor kids!
Kaylee has a playtime with Nathan every school morning and she has been teaching him his ABC's, counting, shapes, and colors.  Kaylee is the best and going to make my job so easy when we start preschool next fall.  How can that be?????  Preschool next fall already!!
Nathan has just started getting his two year old molars in.  I saw the first one poke through the other day.  He has had a few more fussy days lately and I was wondering if teeth has had something to do with it.  I have not had the terrible 2's for the most part with Nathan.  He is often a very happy boy without very many tantrums.
Nathan is such a daddy's boy when Ryan is home and if he is fussy it tends to be when Ryan is home.  I think he just misses him so much when he is gone.  When Ryan is gone he does great with me though.  He is actually less fussy with me!
For the last couple of months Nathan will now happily go into his 2 year old room at church.  Yea!  It has really helped since being moved to the two year old room.  Starting right at 8 months and up until a few months ago he would still get so upset at drop off.
Nathan still screams and is totally hysterical when getting a hair cut.  He is my only one to get so upset from this.  Poor guy.  I am ready for that phase to pass soon!

Okay so I hope I have covered all the major stuff.  Like usual I will add more if I think of it later!  Here are the stats from his two year appointment.  I am so happy that he moved up in the weight percentile!!
Weight- 28.88 pounds 58 %
Height- 34.45 inches 52%

Here are some pictures from his big day!

Starting off the morning right!  Pancakes and strawberries and of course the first "happy birthday"!

Mickey cake!!

The two birthday boys!  Nathan shares a birthday with my nephew Asher!  He was turning 4 that day.

I like to make Asher a special birthday cake too!

Taking the yearly measurements!

We love you so much Nathan and are so grateful to God for you!!
