Cocoa Light Night!

I just realized it is almost March and I can't believe I am still posting Christmas!  As if I couldn't keep up before and now I am trying to post on two blogs!!  Like I needed to give myself one more thing to do!
Every year we plan a cocoa light night where we make some great hot cocoa, get in our Christmas PJ's, and then drive around and look at lights!  This year did not disappoint!  We saw some fun lights but we saw some even better houses!  At first we were on the light hunt like usual.  We went to our few usual places and then looked online to find some other great houses.  We ended up in Arcadia area because of one of the online recommended houses.  After that house we figured we were already in the area so we might as well see what else we can find.  We ended up finding the coolest streets EVER!!  Well, at least in my world they were the coolest ever because they weren't just cookie cutter brown stucco like most of what we see here.  I love big houses with character, brick, siding, dormer windows, charm, big yards with grass, all the kinds of houses that you usually don't' see in Phoenix but probably see most everywhere else!  I grew up in Phoenix...how did I not know about these!?!?  They were so beautiful and I could have looked at them all night!  I am so lucky to have a husband that will humor me and drive up and down streets over and over again while I ooed and awed and dreamed.  So at this point Christmas lights were out in my book, I was looking at the houses!  We did manage to still see some great lights though and we all had fun! ;)

And just for fun here are a few other treats we made this year!
Candy Cane Reindeer's

Candy Cane Brownies

Candy Cane Kiss Sugar Cookies

Candy Cane Kiss Popcorn.  I guess I really liked candy cane stuff last Christmas!

And of course Ryan's fudge!

First Snow!

The next morning after the Polar Express we drove to Flagstaff because they were getting snow!  We were not very prepared with warm enough clothes but we still wanted to take the kids out in it for a few minutes.  This was Nathan's first time in the snow and I think the first time the other kids got to actually see the snow fall in a long time.  Ryan and I too for that matter!

You could tell we were all just a little bit cold at this point!  And it was very windy!
