Field Trip to Enchanted Island!

Our homeschool group had a field trip to Enchanted Island the end of April.  It is a small little amusement park and splash pad.  Fun last field trip of the school year!

Poor Nathan and Cousin Love!

If you read my previous post you saw how poor Nathan had to go into the hospital.  It was so sad to see him there and hard on mama and daddy.  He is doing just fine now as this was back in April.

We were so thankful for my mom and sister's help and the rest of the kids had great times hanging with their cousins!

Easter Morning!

The kids had fun checking out their baskets!

Poor Nathan actually was not feeling very well this morning.  He had been fighting a stomach virus on and off all week.  He became very dehydrated because he would often throw up again if he had too much water.  That led to really bad constipation.  He looks happy here but was miserable the whole morning.  We ended up not going to church and having to go to the hospital that afternoon.  Some holidays don't turn out as planned but we are thankful for Jesus and his salvation!

The older kids still had fun with an egg hunt!

More Before Easter Happenings

Our yearly tradition of coloring eggs:

Nathan wanted nothing to do with the egg coloring.

But he sure looked cute!

The family was coming over Saturday night for more before Easter get togethers so I though it would be fun to make a carrot cake.  It turned out so yummy!!

The table all set up for Easter Eve dinner!

Sorry bunny, I think you were missing one. :)

Easter Get Together

On Good Friday we had a before Easter get together with my sister and family.  Easter is such an important holiday so we wanted to make sure we are establishing Easter traditions as well as we do for Christmas time.

We made Resurrection rolls!  These are a fun tradition with kids to tell the Easter story.  They actually taste pretty good too!

We had an Easter egg hunt!  This one actually contained no candy.  It had letters to put together to make a message, and little toys.

Jesus Loves Us!

Then we enjoyed lunch together with sandwiches cut in little Easter/Spring shapes.

Do you remember these from when you were kids??  I had not seen them in a long time.  You put the little capsule in water and then it turns into a little foam dinosaur.
