Before:
After:
Kaylee did so good and did not even cry! She had been asking me on and off for about the past year to get her ears pierced. She would go in phases where she wanted it done and then I would not hear about it for awhile. I just wanted to make sure she was ready and really wanted to do this. This summer she started asking me on almost a daily basis so I promised her we would get them done before school started. Sometimes it is just hard to get over to the mall with Nolan's nap schedule. :) She picked her birthstone for her earrings.
Then their is Lex. Little miss 4 year old that decided in the car that she was getting her ears pierced too. Oh really.... Well, she must be the second child or something because so much for the waiting and making sure they are really ready and wanting this. I just kind of said "we'll see" in the car......thinking there is no way she is going to want this done after she sees Kaylee get hers done. Well, in true Lex fashion when she decides she wants something she gets determined that she can do it. She started crying when we were going to leave the store without getting hers done too. I gave her many options to opt out of doing this as I could tell she was getting worried but she still went through with it. With her we did see tears. Unfortunately they only had one girl working at the time so she could not get them pierced at the same time. She started screaming after the first ear but at that point I held her still and told the girl to just do the other side as fast as she could. At that point I did not want to end up with only one ear done. :)
Before for Lex:
No smiles from her as she was getting worried.
Lex after: There is the smile! All better with her pretty purple earrings. Her birthstone is not Amethyst but she just loves purple so went with that birthstone.
And of course followed by an ice cream treat to make everyone feel better. :)
The girls have been doing great with the earrings and now only have one more week until they can start changing them. They are both very excited and love looking at earrings where ever we go. It actually worked out well getting them both done at the same time. I am cleaning and turning Kaylee's all the time anyway so might as well do both girls!
