Here is Christmas Eve in pictures!
Our traditional Christmas Eve morning cookie decorating

Decorating bags and getting the reindeer oats and glitter all ready
Christmas Eve service at Highlands
At my sisters house for Christmas Eve dinner
This was a new fun Christmas Eve tradition my Mom started this year. Now that Kaylee can read well she set up a treasure hunt with clues all over the house. Kaylee got to read the clues and the girls had fun going to find the next clue. We hope this can become a lasting tradition and get more fun as the cousins and little ones get older and can join in. My Mom had a friend that did this with her kids all growing up and they had the fun of making the treasure hunt harder, to leaving the house eventually, to driving around to the next clue, as the kids got older.
Kaylee reading the first clue:
They found the treasure box under the tree!
A little present for each kiddo!
"Let's see if this has anything else in it?!"

Group shot!
Back home in pj's writing Santa a note:
Alexa wanted to make a note for Santa too...must include using the scissors! :)
Choosing just the right ones!
Can't forget carrots for each reindeer!
Still working hard on that note! :)
Kaylee elf was standing guard!
Getting so big! Pouring the milk for Santa this year.
Out front to throw the oats and glitter for the reindeer. Such a fun thing the girls still love doing year after year!
What's That!?!? .....as Nolan loves to say! :)
And we ended with our yearly "Twas the Night Before Christmas."
I look at these pictures and I see mostly the same traditions every year, but that is what makes it so fun and the hope that our kids will always remember and look forward to the traditions and the fun things we do!
