So we have made it to the 11 months. I don't think I ever like this month because it is so close the the BIG ONE. I just wish I could hold on to my little babies forever. I would like to say I wonder how we got here but when I think about my days, weeks, and everything that a busy mom of 3 has to fit in, no wonder this has snuk up on me so fast. I just want to cry thinking my baby is going to be 1. I am just in a crazy season right now of two older ones in two different schools and pick up times, dance for both of them on two different days, trying to fit in 2 naps between those pick up times, still trying to nurse and pump.....not been easy, grocery store when needed, making meals on a "not easy to make a fast easy dinner" kind of diet, laundry...I could go on and on. I feel like to get anything done around here besides the basics of getting people fed, dressed, dropped of at the appropriate location, homework, leaves no time for cleaning, putting away laundry, THE BLOG, hence why it is the 15th and I think it has gone long enough not doing Nolan's month post. So the dishes are sitting undone on the counter between coming home from dropping Alexa off and before we have to leave in already 35 min to pick her up.....something always has to give to do anything extra. I have been trying to do this post every night since the 1st but each night it is about midnight before I have the time and I am just too exhausted. Now I am giving it a try during the day. So no doing dishes it is and here we go!
I am always good and take the month pictures on the right date so these were actually taken on the 1st. I thought Alexa would not hold still for the pictures but Nolan REALLY wont hold still. Kind of glad in the picture sense that I only have one more of these to do with his sign. He is just too busy to hold still! I really don't even know how I got one of him looking with his sign. I finally tried to wedge him in the couch corner to hopefully hold him long enough before he flew forward. It was a sight to see!
Enjoying the new swing
So on that note here is the "all about Nolan" for the month. Nolan is:
BUSY. Busy, busy, busy. He is a BUSY little boy. I put him down and he is all over the room. He is in the tornado phase that Ryan and I like to call it. The girls did this too. They take something out for two seconds then toss it aside and on to the next. It looks like a tornado has blown through when he is all done. :) We get exhausted just watching him! The good thing is that I have had to get over putting everything back right away. With Kaylee I would try and keep up with it all day and would have to find every piece of every toy and put it back in the correct organized spot. I remember looking under couches, dressers, bins anywhere to find that missing item. I have gotten a little more lax with each kid and now we pretty much do one pick up in the evening....girls now help, and by pick up we put it in any basket or place we can find off the floor and I don't have to make sure all parts are accounted for. My how I have changed. I am just too exhausted and busy to care any more. :)
WALKING....holding on to the furniture that is or with his walker. Not totally on his own. He seems close though. Also likes to move his high chair and the kitchen table chairs around the room. That boy is strong and was even moving one the other day with Alexa in it!
OPENING everything that he can. We decided a few weeks ago to put the baby proof locks on the cabinets after he discovered that they could open. I was having such a hard time making dinner or cleaning up because some cabinets had stuff that could get broken. We left one for him that he can still take stuff out of. :)
DANCING. Some of his favorite toys right now are his door, his piano, and his learning table. All of those play music and he does the cutest little dances whether sitting down or standing up when the songs come on.
THROWING toys that he pulls out of the baskets, his binky, toys out of his high chair, all over the place! Loves to also throw his little basket ball in his little Nolan sized basket ball hoop. So cute to watch and love how he has that down this month. Before he would just watch us do it!
TALKING....mostly saying da da for everything. But is also good at saying "hi" when someone comes in the room, mama sometimes....wish that one was more, dog sometimes, Nana....sometimes I think that he means mama, and his favorite right now is "uh oh" every time he trows or drops something. I think it has become more of a game.
READING....well not him, but likes when I read to him. :) Still a favorite is his baby faces book. LOVES the babies and to help turn the pages in his books. His favorite baby in the book is the baby that says "uh oh". He likes to say it after I say it. :)
SWINGING....a few weeks ago Ryan put out the outside swing. It has been so nice outside and Nolan is loving his new swing.
This video was from one of the first times he started using his walker to walk in. It was the end of October He now does this with ease!
Love you Buddy and the fun you bring to our house! I love seeing your smiling face. You bring us so much joy!
