Happy Halloween!

We had so much fun tonight with our beautiful Princess Belle and our adorable little flower!

Kaylee had so much fun trick-or-treating this year that when we were all done she wanted to trick-or-treat at one more house.....ours. Aunt Manda went inside and Kaylee rung the door bell. It was so cute!

I have been so behind on my blog and all the last weeks events. I still have the pumpkin farm, last weekends Halloween party, Kaylee's country fair at school, and carving the pumpkins. I will try and get caught up this week.

First Camp out!

Earlier this week Kaylee and Daddy had their first camp out in the back yard. Here they are eating their midnight snack (OK so 9pm snack) compliments of Mommy, popcorn with an M & M surprise! It was a huge hit. Poor Ryan, he had just got Kaylee to calm down and I show up with popcorn and candy!

Karen's Critters!

Yesterday at Kaylee's school they had Karen's Critters come. It was a cute little petting zoo of baby animals. They had a baby donkey, baby sheep, 3 little pigs, and baby goats. Kaylee had so much fun brushing and petting the animals.

I love this picture of Kaylee with the goat. You can't really tell from the picture but the goat was eating her hair. She was such a good sport and did not mind. She just continued to sit and brush the goat.





Yes, it is what it looks like. As soon as I snapped the picture the donkey started pooping. It came literally 2 inches from getting on Kaylee. She was such a good sport......again! All the adults standing around yelled "Kaylee don't move!" really loud. Luckily she did not get any on her....that would have been a fun mess to clean out of her clothes. :)

Second Tooth!

Alexa got her second tooth today! Of course she won't let me get a picture so I posted one of her cute little tushie instead!

New Swing!

We got Lex a swing for the outside patio in hopes that it will cool down so we can use it. Is has to cool down at some point...right?? Here she is testing it out!

Kaylee loves the job of pushing Lex in the swing. Lex likes it too. You can hear her little giggle in the video in between Kaylee saying "Weeee" with every push!

Dot, dot, dot...

That is what Kaylee calls their pajamas....dot, dot, dot pajamas. I was so proud as a Mom after I took these pictures. This was the first time since Alexa has been born that Kaylee has agreed to hold Alexa in her lap to take a picture. Most siblings want to hold the new baby right away. Before I would basically get a "no way" from Kaylee. It only took us six months...better late than never, right??!!

At meal time we just started introducing Alexa to a water sippy. She is starting to get the hang of it and really likes it. We waited way too long to introduce Kaylee to a sippy cup and we had the worst time transitioning her from the bottle. Hopefully this will help to not be so hard on her later.

Happy 1/2 Birthday Alexa!

Today we celebrated Alexa's half birthday! We can't believe she is 6 months old!! It makes me sad that my baby is already half way to 1. I feel like the time is just flying by! Alexa is such a wonderful baby and always has a smile on her face......as long as a tooth is not coming in. :)

Here is what Alexa is up to right now. I will try and keep it shorter than last month post. Last month got kind long:

She has had a few first in the last week which I have already posted.
-She can now crawl/scoot.
-She now has one tooth. I can't tell if the second one is coming in. I keep trying to look and she wont let me. She is very good at hiding it with her tongue!
-She also started sitting up in the last week! She is still kind of wobbly but is getting better every day!

She loves her big sister and any attention she will give her. Kaylee is actually getting better and better with her all the time. It only took six months! He he!!
-Kaylee is so good at making her laugh. Alexa will just start cracking up with the cutest little giggle. I will try and get it on film. Kaylee is the only one that can really make her laugh that hard!

She is on a pretty good schedule with two naps a day and sleeps through the night. If she does wake up at night she is usually right back to sleep as soon as she finds the paci. I really don't like that she is hooked on her pacifier at night but I was desperate for sleep!

She is so good at going with the flow. I feel like we are always coming and going taking Kaylee all over the place and she is such a good sport!

Alexa had her six month well check today. Here are her stats:

Weight: 16 lbs 14 oz (75th %)

Height: 25 inches (40th %)

Head 42 1/2 (55th %)

We love you so much Alexa and we can't imagine our family without you!!!!

More Firsts!!

Along with getting her first tooth this week she also started crawling! Okay, well it is more like a scoot but it gets her to where she is going. Before she would just kind of have to roll around for awhile to get where she wanted to go. Now she can go with more of a direct shot! Of course as soon as I got the camera out she would barely move. It was like she knew she was being filmed. I took a million videos and I think I could only get her to move a few inches at a time. Here are a few where you can kind of get the idea.

I left the girls in Kaylee's room for like a minute to go brush my teeth. When I came back in this is what I found. They were so cute both reading their books I had to grab the camera!

First Tooth!!!

I don't have any pictures of it because she hides it so well, but Alexa's first tooth popped through today! We could see yesterday how it was right below the gums and today it broke through. Poor thing has been super fuss because of it so hopefully she can now get some relief....even though I am sure the next one will start to come any day. ;)
